In SJPF headquarters, the Gil Vicente player has publicly announced his forced resignation of professional football due to a serious injury.

That was a whole life dedicated to football that has fallen apart due to a knee injury. Daniel Faria, 27, entered the Barcelos football club as a child and has since been there throughout his entire football journey. However, a serious injury forces him to move out of the pitches forever. During this difficult times, the Portuguese Footballers’ Association has been alongside the defender.

“I want to thank SJPF and everyone who has been supporting me. The president Joaquim Evangelista was exceptional at this point. I tis not easy to stop a career, as you may imagine. But football is this way, I have to hold on to everything I have learned during the last years. If it is possible, I will soon be back to football. This chapter is closed”, Daniel stated.
