PROPOSING YOUNGSTERS PROMOTION
The Portuguese Footballers' Association (SJPF) has presented Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) a whole set of propsals which look forward to protect youngsters' rights as well as granting them conditions to improve their abilities and skills. This presentation took place on the Sports Development Forum, organized by FPF.
Among the ideas presented by SJPF were the creation of a promotion fund dedicated to young footballers as well as the certification of schools and academies concerning the practice of football. The set of proposals was approved during the meeting.
Joaquim Evangelista, SJPF president, enhanced the importance of such an initiative: "This forum had a huge activity and attendance. It was an event that reinforced bonds between all of these institutions and the presence of FPF president valued the meeting".
SKILLS TRAINING
FOR DELEGATES
SJPF promoted a skills training session with a coaching expert in order to identify, understand and find the best ways to work towards reaching footballers during the visits to the clubs. The role of the delegate as a face of the Union and the most effective way of communication with players was one of the major subjects during the session, in which were present the delegates Tozé, João Oliveira Pinto, José Carlos, João Lucas and Carla Couto.
