The Union (SJPF) just launched a new publication, dedicated exclusively to women’s football: W Magazine.

“W” is a quarterly publication and appears on the scope of Union’s politic in reinforcing the focus, promotion and disclosure of women’s football in Portugal, a modality in frank expansion in our country.

SJPF’s delegates for Women’s Football, Carla Couto and Edite Fernandes, arise in great highlight in W’s first edition, that has the particularity of being written in two languages: portuguese and english.

It’s 32 pages full of player’s dedicated contents, with particular emphasis to Carla Couto’s visits to National’s clubs and to Female Promotion and for the awards delivery to the footballers that most highlighted themselves in 2014/15 season.

The interviews to the portuguese internationals Andreia Silva (Futebol Benfica), Ana Borges (Chelsea) and Cláudia Neto (Linköpings) also deserve emphasis in this first edition.

CARLA COUTO INTEGRATES COMMITTEE

The Union’s ambassador for Women’s Football integrates the FIFPro Committee for the modality: “It’s an honor, on behalf of the Union, to integrate this commission and to be standing side-by-side with old world class footballers, in defending the player’s rights. I feel that with my experience, on one hand, and the functions I exercise as Union’s delegate, on the other hand, I can contribute to the decision-making.”
