Portuguese Players' Union is one of the partner organizations that supports the Champ4Life program, an initiative created by the Human Motricity Faculty of the University of Lisbon, in order to combat the excess weight that ex-athletes present.

Bruno Fernandes (Sporting) and Chiquinho (Académica) were elected the Best Young Players of October / November and November of the First and Second League, respectively, by the Portuguese Players' Union.
