As part of the SPIN - Sport Inclusion Network project, an European conference was held on 23 and 24 November in the City of Football, which discussed the inclusion of migrants and refugees in sport.

Joaquim Evangelista, president of the Portuguese Players Union, one of the eight partners of the SPIN project, kicked off the conference, calling for unity among all in supporting the integration of migrants and refugees.

The goal scored by Bruno Fernandes in Sporting CP 3-0 Boavista FC was voted the best of the Portuguese First League in October, according to a vote on the Players Union website.

Sporting CP Portuguese midfielder joins William (goal scored in the Marítimo-Chaves match) and Shoya Nakajima (goal scored in the Portimonense-Vitória de Guimarães match) on the list of candidates for the Best Goal award of the 2018/19 season, which will be delivered by the Union at the end of this season.
