New Union, arise to protect players in Angola

For a long time committed to the mission of helping the creation of new players' unions, Joaquim Evangelista, president of the Portuguese Players Union, was present at the inauguration ceremony of the National Footballers Union of Angola (ANFA), last January 18th.

The president of the Portuguese Players Union expressed his availability to continue assisting ANFA, like the portuguese delegation have done with the procedures for the creation and election of the governing bodies. “The technical and financial support has been going on for over a year, to give conditions and prepare the current board of ANFA for this first mandate”, said Joaquim Evangelista, on the sidelines of this ceremony where Igor Nascimento was publicly presented as the president of the Angolan union, which will now apply to integrate FIFPro – World Players Union, with the support of Portugal.
