With the transfer market almost closing and many players close to have new professional destinations, the Portuguese Players Union is working on several fronts and has participated, this Thursday, in the event promoted by SIGA (Sport Integrity Global Alliance), in partnership with CNID (Clube Nacional de Imprensa Desportiva), that took place at Palácio Foz, Lisbon. In this event, the portuguese sports media and sportive institutions were invited do reflect about the perspectives for the next decade.
Joaquim Evangelista, president of the Portuguese Players Union, had a public intervention about the importance of integrity, governance and compliance issues in football.
SIGA and the Players Union signed a cooperation agreement on September 2019, a commitment assumed by Emanuel de Medeiros and Joaquim Evangelista to protect integrity and, in particular, to fight and prevent match-fixing.
