Players will benefit from an international guarantee fund

FIFA and FIFPro will create a “Player Protection Fund” of 14.6 million euros, entering into force in July this year.

The fund will allow to the players unable to be reimbursed by the clubs, after the favorable decion of the international bodies (FIFA DRC/CAS).

The execution of the decisions have been a problem around the world, especially when clubs went bankrupt, creating legal successors. This fund will assure the players reimbursement in such cases.

The Players’ Union invites all interested players, with international decisions that have not yet been fulfilled, to get in touch with the legal office, through the email sjogadores@sjogadores.pt, or calling to +351 213219590.
