Violence

In Portugal, violence in sports continues to concern all the football stakeholders, the last case involved the supporters and board members of Sporting CP. In an article published this week, the president of the Players Union, Joaquim Evangelista, reflected about the topic and the importance of the intervention by the authorities “This is not an individual fight. It belongs to everyone, sport agents and government. This situation demand a sense of responsibility and unity. The new law against violence in sports, and sportive regulations in place, must be applied and assure that supporters associated with violence are not allowed to enter in sportive events.”
