The impact of Covid-19, isolation and the uncertainty of the competitions future can create psychological damages in players. The human being reacts differently to stressful situations. How each responds to isolation due to a pandemic will depend of their past experiences, personality characteristics and culture.

The Union has some suggestions to the players about the management of their lives in isolation, according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well an help line to support players during this period, through the number: (+351) 933009590.

Football has been an example of solidarity, all over the world, in combating the Covid-19 pandemic. FIFA donated 9 million euros to the World Health Organization (WHO), the German National team donated 2.5 million euros and defender Leonardo Bonucci gave 120,000 euros to a hospital in Turin.

FIFA will also set up a fund to help members of the football community affected by Covid-19. FIFA President Gianni Infantino appealed to all players to contribute to this effort.
