No que ao investimento diz respeito, os clubes portugueses gastaram 527 milhões de euros na contratação de jogadores, nos últimos cinco anos.

Among the 40 countries analyzed by the study of CIES Football Observatory, Portugal generated the highest income with the transfer of players in the last five years, a cash inflow of more than 1,600 million euros. In terms of investment, portuguese clubs have spent 527 million of euros hiring players, in the same period of time.

João Carlos Teixeira, do Famalicão, e Ícaro Silva, do Feirense, foram eleitos os Melhores Jogadores de fevereiro da Primeira e Segunda Liga, respetivamente, pelo Sindicato dos Jogadores. Os prémios são atribuídos tendo em conta as pontuações dadas pelos três jornais desportivos e as escolhas de uma comissão formada por ex-jogadores, indicada pelo Sindicato.
