O SJPF, como é habitual, publica, duas vezes por ano, um relatório sobre utilização de jogadores portugueses e estrangeiros nas competições profissionais (Liga Zon Sagres e Liga2 Cabovisão).

Atento, por um lado, ao excesso de jogadores estrangeiros e, por outro, à fraca aposta no jogador nacional, este relatório possibilita saber objetivamente qual a política dos clubes portugueses nesta matéria.

Paralelamente, permite refletir sobre as causas e, ao mesmo tempo, discutir as propostas que invertam esta tendência. Este documento reporta-se à primeira volta do campeonato e as principais conclusões são as seguintes.

LIGA ZON SAGRES
- Mantém-se a supremacia dos jogadores estrangeiros perante os portugueses: 53 contra 47 por cento. Houve um acréscimo de cinco por cento de portugueses utilizados comparativamente com a época 2012/2013.
- Jovens jogadores (até 23 anos) utilizados representam 34 por cento.
- Referência para o Sporting Clube de Portugal, que no ano passado figurava com 11 estrangeiros. Este ano, o clube de Alvalade, apesar da crise eda reestruturação financeira, apostou no jogador português com resultados positivos. Ao nível desportivo, está nos lugares cimeiros da tabela classificativa, e os jovens jogdores subiram de cotação no mercado de tranferências.
- Pelo contrário, Benfica (2), FC Porto (3), Nacional (5), Olhanense (5) e Rio Ave (5) são os clubes que menos portugueses utilizam.

LIGA2 CABOVISÃO
- Na Liga 2 Cabovisão há uma aposta razoável no jogador português (67%) perante o jogador estrangeiro (33%). Ainda assim, houve um decréscimo de 3% relativamente ao ano passado.
- Os jogadores jovens, com menos de 23 anos, compõem a maior fatia de futebolistas utilizados na Liga 2 Cabovisão: 47 por cento.
- Oitenta e quatro por cento dos jogadores jovens utilizados são portugueses. 

Aware, on one hand, of the high number of foreigners and, on the other, the weak support of the portuguese footballer, this report allows one to objectively know the clubs’ policy on this matter.
Simultaneously, it helps to think about the causes and discuss the proposals which might reverse this phenomena.
This document refers to the first round of the competition and these are the main conclusions.

LIGA ZON SAGRES
 - Foreigners advantage towards the portuguese players: 53 against 47 percent. It has been a five percent increase of portuguese in use relating to the previous season.
 - Youngsters (until 23 years old) in use represent 34 percent of total players.
 - A special reference to Sporting Clube de Portugal, who has used 11 foreigners last year. Presently, the Lisbon team has changed its strategy, suporting the portuguese player and has been reaching success, positioning at the top of the table.
 - On the other side, Benfica (2), FC Porto (3), Nacional (5), Olhanense (5) and Rio Ave (5) are the teams which use less portuguese footballers.

LIGA2 CABOVISÃO
 - There is a reasonable support of the portuguese player (67 percent) in the league, when compared to the foreigner (33 percent). However, there has been a three percent decrease relating to the previous season.
 - Young players, who are less than 23 years old, are the most players in use: 47 percent.
 - Eighty-four percent of the youngsters are portuguese.
